Ocracoke Island May 2010

We spent four really great days with Mary Kaye and Denny. Part of our trip was a delivery of some of my artwork to be put up for sale in the gallery in TimbuckII at Dolphin Watch Gallery. The weather was exceptional and we even had a chance to do some horsehair pottery with Mary Kaye. We of course had provided the horse hair after some spring grooming and clipping of our horses:) One of our metal pieces of horses is going to be made by us to help raise money for the wild horses located on North Beach.

Our trip then progressed to the ferry ride and two days on Ocracoke Island. This charming fishing village boasts great galleries, beautiful national seashore and wonderful dining. We stayed two nights at The Thurston House and enjoyed a relaxing and lazy stay. Adventures included biking, swimming at the beach, rescuing a painted turtle and visiting another gallery called Over the Moon.
